"Excellence in Hungarian Folk Dances with Muzsikás"
In collaboration with Knack Cordial Folk Group (Hong Kong), the renowned Hungarian band, Muzsikás will perform in Hong Kong on the 23rd October 2018 as part of its Asian Tour.
Muzsikás is the most renowned Hungarian folk music ensemble established in 1973. The band received the prestigious WOMEX Award for World Music in 2008 and the Kossuth Prize, the Hungarian State award in 1999. The band has performed from Europe to North America and Asia since 1978. The Artistic Director of this performance, Mr. Kenneth TSE of Knack Cordial Folk Group received Hungarian National Decoration – ‘Gold Cross of Merit’ in 2018 from President of Hungary and ‘Certificate of Merit’ in 2017 from Minister of State for Cultural and Science Diplomacy of Hungary. Mr Tse lately led a team of 40 dancers from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Malaysia to perform his choreographies in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania in July 2018. Dancers from Hungary, Taiwan, Japan and Malaysia will also come to perform in this performance.
