PÁL MOLNÁR-C. (1894-1981): A Hungarian artist – posters and illustrations from the 1930s

An exhibition from the collection of the MCP Museum Budapest showcasing posters and illustrations from the renowned Hungarian artist, Pál Molnár-C. 

The exceptionally rich exhibition material includes xylograps, drawings, newspaper illustrations and large scale colourful prints all produced in the period between the two world wars from 1920-1940. In addition, personal objects of the artist, such as paintbrushes, woodblocks and a paint box will be on display as well. Details from the artist's autobiography in English translation and a documentary film playing in one of the exhibition halls will contribute to the multisensory experience.

The exhibition will run from 31st October to 5th November 2018 at the Visual Arts Centre, Hong Kong. The opening ceremony and reception will commence at 6pm on 31st October and will be accompanied by a performance of Hungarian tárogató player, József Terék. After the ceremony, a documentary film titled 'Passion of Dreams' introducing the life and works of Pál Molnár-C. will be shown in the Theatre of the Visual Arts Centre from 7.30pm. Free admission, first come, first serve.
