The Hungarian women’s team sabre squad - Sugár Battai, Luca Szűcs, Anna Spiesz, and Renáta Katona - delivered an outstanding performance to win the world championship title. Hungary had previously won gold in this event in 2022 and 2023, making this the team’s third consecutive world title.
Sugár Battai also won a bronze medal in the individual women’s sabre competition, while Dániel Dósa earned bronze in the individual men’s foil event.
